This means resolution, resolve, willpower. “Stand firm and you will save yourselves” (Luke 21:19)

This means the process of being given passion and/or ideas for a task. “I can do all things through him who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13)
This means being outstanding or extremely good. “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart as working for the Lord” (Colossians 3:23-24)
This connects us with each other. “We who are many, are one body in Christ” (Romans 12:5)
This means having strong moral principles e.g. honesty, decency, fairness, equality; having pure and balanced moral character. Whatever is true, whatever is honourable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things." Word Aware Day
Our children and staff thoroughly enjoyed celebrating vocabulary and learning lots of new words. It was fantastic to see the children teaching each other the definitions. We look forward to seeing the children using the words they have learnt in their speaking, reading and in their writing. We had lots of fun in our assembly sharing our words. Your child will have been introduced to over 200 words in one day! Thank-you parents for helping your child to dress up as a word, the children enjoyed sharing their costumes and were very creative in acting out their words. Please ask your child to tell you about some of the vocabulary that they learnt, the more they use the words, the more they will remember them!
